The Data Engineer role at Cambridge University Press & Assessment involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support AI-driven assessment solutions. The successful candidate will work on developing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes to handle structured and unstructured data, ensuring data quality, validation, and governance. This role requires close collaboration with the Applied AI team, data scientists, and product teams to define data requirements and implement effective solutions. The position offers an opportunity to work in a hybrid setup (2-3 days per week in the office) at the company's Cambridge location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and SQL, with experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines. Additionally, familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Apache Spark, or Airflow is desirable.
