The Electro-Thermal Fluid CFD Engineer role at Quintessential Design Services Limited (QDSL) is a high-level engineering position focused on simulation-based design and analysis for electrified propulsion systems such as electric drive units (EDUs), inverters, e-machines, traction batteries, and transmissions. The engineer will be responsible for performing electro-thermal fluid (eTF) analysis at both system and sub-system levels, establishing simulation workflows and standards, and collaborating with physical testing teams to correlate and optimize simulation results. The role demands a strong technical background in thermal and fluid dynamics simulations using tools like StarCCM+, GT Suite, Simulink, and MATLAB, along with experience in battery and electric propulsion system development. Candidates should have a degree in mechanical or related engineering fields and proven experience in CAE methodologies for propulsion systems. Additional responsibilities include conducting virtual verification, optimization, design reviews, mentoring junior team members, and supporting product development decisions.
