We are seeking a Core Test Methods Engineer to support the development and implementation of software, hardware, integration, system, and vehicle level testing for electrified powertrain components, including traction batteries, BMS, inverters, EDUs, e-machines, and other power electronics. The role involves authoring and customizing test methods from requirements, supporting test execution during development and production release phases, and ensuring robust validation techniques are applied. Responsibilities include working with Statements of Requirements, reviewing and improving test methods, commissioning test cases via test implementation engineers, and supporting a transition to a new test and requirements toolset. The candidate will collaborate with application and facility teams to ensure equipment readiness and mentor junior engineers and apprentices. Essential qualifications include experience in software or electrical engineering, automotive powertrain test environments, and familiarity with electrical, EMC, climatic, and durability testing techniques. Desirable skills include knowledge of BEV, MHEV, and PHEV systems, regulatory requirements, high-voltage systems, test automation, and thermal performance analysis.
