Jisc is actively seeking a passionate, creative, and user-centred UX Designer who will play a key role in shaping outstanding digital experiences that support learning, teaching, and research across the UK. As a UX Designer at Jisc, you will be responsible for conducting thorough user research to gain deep insights into user needs, behaviours, and pain points, and turning these insights into user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that are both intuitive and impactful. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including developers, visual designers, product managers, accessibility specialists, and stakeholders to ensure that the final design delivers maximum value and ease of use. Your role will also involve running usability testing sessions, analysing feedback, iterating designs based on data and user input, and ensuring that the services meet high accessibility and inclusion standards. This is a hybrid role, giving you the flexibility to work remotely or from any of Jisc’s UK office locations in London, Bristol, Manchester, or Oxford. The position is full-time and permanent, offering a competitive salary starting from £42,000 per year, depending on experience.
