This role leads the delivery of the Trusted Research Environment (TRE) at the University of Glasgow in collaboration with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic and operational project management of the TRE, overseeing infrastructure setup, AI/ML workflow deployment, and data governance in alignment with ISO, NHS, and university standards. The post involves stakeholder engagement across academic, clinical, and industry sectors, financial oversight, coordination of AI demonstrator projects (including digital pathology, imaging, and natural language processing), and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR. The role also supports funding applications, risk assessments, ethics approvals, and the preparation of business cases, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the TRE. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing complex research or healthcare IT projects, a strong understanding of NHS governance, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
