The Threat Intelligence Engineer at Jisc will be responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support Jisc’s security services, focusing on managing and enhancing SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response), and threat intelligence platforms. This role will involve collaborating with threat intelligence teams to develop methods for integrating and automating these platforms, monitoring the security status of services and infrastructure, and identifying and mitigating potential security vulnerabilities. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to continual improvements of current and future technologies to meet the business and customer needs, ensuring that all documentation adheres to Jisc’s standards. The engineer will also represent Jisc externally, attending conferences and participating in taskforces to advance technology in the security space. The role is based in the UK with a flexible hybrid working model, with hubs in London, Bristol, Manchester, and Oxford, and offers a salary from £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
