The role focuses on parametric characterisation and reliability testing of III-V telecom photonic devices. Responsibilities include defining the test strategy and capability roadmap, leading development of test hardware, methodology, and automation, collaborating with design, process, and project teams, building and managing a multidisciplinary team, acting as the technical authority for test and validation, and overseeing product engineering to ensure timely delivery and resolution of technical issues. Candidates must have a degree in Engineering, Photonics, Electronics, or a related field, 10+ years of experience in photonic device characterisation, strong knowledge of telecommunication photonic test methods and device physics (especially III-V optoelectronic devices), experience in failure analysis and reliability standards, demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary R&D teams, and familiarity with photonic device fabrication processes.
