Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a highly skilled Team Lead for its Content Tools team to drive the design, development, and enhancement of AI-driven internal tools that improve content generation and management processes. This role involves leading a technical team of 2-6 members, fostering their growth through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and promoting best practices, while also taking ownership of production-ready internal applications, assessing and refining their architecture, and making strategic decisions to ensure scalability, quality, and alignment with business goals. The Team Lead will collaborate closely with Product Owners, senior stakeholders, and end-users to translate requirements into AI solutions, including building, deploying, and managing LLM-powered applications using relevant programming languages, particularly TypeScript, and cloud services such as AWS and Okta. The role balances hands-on technical work with 50-70% focus on team leadership, driving strategic technical initiatives, implementing AI solutions, managing agile practices, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in AI and machine learning technologies, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a proven track record in technical leadership, software architecture, and team management.
