Jisc is seeking an experienced IT services delivery professional to join their Advice Team as a Subject Specialist in Infrastructure. This remote working role, with occasional travel to Jisc offices and customer sites, involves delivering the Infrastructure Review service and other support offers to education sector members. The specialist will create and publish digital content such as blogs and media related to digital infrastructure, contribute to knowledge sharing and staff development, and support projects aligned with Jisc’s priorities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT technical support service delivery within a medium to large organisation, hands-on knowledge of digital communication networks (wired and wireless), and the ability to produce clear, concise reports with actionable recommendations. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to plan and deliver training events, webinars, and workshops are essential. Desirable experience includes working in the higher or further education sectors or public sector, and familiarity with technologies like Hyper-V, VMware, firewalls, cloud services, Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, and ITIL frameworks. The role offers a salary of around £47,000 per annum and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
