About the job

This role will be based on the university campus. We are looking for a structural mass spectrometry scientist to join our facility team within the Faculty of Biological Sciences and the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and multiple projects as a structural mass spectrometry expert in hydrogen-deuterium exchange-MS, native MS, chemical crosslinking-MS, and various top-down and bottom-up proteomics approaches. The role involves providing expert guidance, training, and advice in sample preparation, optimisation, method development, data acquisition, and interpretation. The post requires a PhD (or near completion) in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical science, structural molecular biology or related discipline, and experience with at least one structural MS method. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. This post may be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship and also for the Global Talent visa.
