As a Software Asset Analyst at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, you will play a vital role in managing the organisation’s software estate across its full lifecycle, including acquisition, allocation, renewal, compliance, usage, optimization, and disposal. Your responsibilities will involve handling requests for new software, conducting internal audits, ensuring license compliance, managing asset inventories, and working closely with application owners, procurement teams, and suppliers to maximise software investments and reduce the total cost of ownership. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with Tier 1 software vendors, and possess strong analytical and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise multiple workstreams, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and preferably experience with leading Software Asset Management tools. This hybrid role based in Cambridge offers a permanent contract of 35 hours per week (with flexible options like compressed hours), a salary range of £34,500–£44,850, and extensive benefits including 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical insurance, group personal pension scheme, life assurance, green travel schemes, and discretionary annual bonus.
