The Site Lean Leader at GE Aerospace's Wales Engine Overhaul site will be responsible for leading the implementation and continuous improvement of GE Aerospace's proprietary lean operating model, FLIGHT DECK, at the site level. This role focuses on driving operational excellence through lean principles, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The leader will be tasked with deploying FLIGHT DECK across the site, developing and executing lean transformation plans, including Kaizen events, Hoshin Kanri (HK), Standard Work, and other lean methodologies. They will foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaborate with cross-functional teams to eliminate waste, and enhance productivity. Additionally, the role involves training and mentoring personnel on FLIGHT DECK principles and tools while monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SQDC. The Site Lean Leader will also oversee site transformation initiatives related to model line creation and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The successful candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with proven experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of lean principles, excellent leadership and team-building skills, the ability to drive change, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. Preferred qualifications include Lean Six Sigma certification and experience in the aerospace industry.
