The role covers the full solution design lifecycle, including requirements gathering, process mapping, feasibility assessment, detailed specification, testing support, and successful embedding of systems and processes. The position involves collaborating with business units, technical experts, and Solution Architects to design integrated, scalable, and secure solutions aligned with the University’s strategic direction and architectural standards. Key responsibilities include horizon scanning for emerging technologies, mentoring junior colleagues, ensuring solutions are technically and commercially viable, supporting User Acceptance Testing, and contributing to continuous improvement of solution design practices. The role also provides opportunities for professional growth in enterprise-level architecture, cloud service models, business process redesign, and complex digital transformation programmes.
