Adsum is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in London to help build and scale an AI-native accounting platform designed to transform tax infrastructure and financial operations for businesses and accountancy firms. The company already supports more than 1,000 customers and is backed by leading investors as it expands its technology platform. In this role, engineers will design and implement AI-driven systems, develop scalable backend services, and build cloud-based infrastructure using technologies such as Python, FastAPI or Django, and AWS services including Lambda, SQS, and EKS. The role also involves building microservices architectures, managing deployment and production systems, establishing reliability and observability through monitoring tools, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Senior engineers will collaborate with product managers and data scientists to deliver high-velocity product improvements while mentoring a small team of engineers and maintaining strong engineering standards such as CI/CD and test-driven development. Adsum offers a competitive salary up to £150,000 with equity between 0.3% and 0.6%, direct collaboration with senior leadership, and visa sponsorship if required for international candidates willing to work from the London office.
