Cancer Research Horizons is hiring a Senior Scientist in Cellular Pharmacology, under the leadership of Agnes Martin, to join their Drug Discovery team at the Babraham Research Campus in Cambridge. This full-time, permanent role focuses on the design, development, and execution of cellular assays to identify, profile, and characterize small molecule therapeutics, including mechanistic studies and SAR/SKR profiling to inform dose prediction and clinical efficacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation by integrating new cellular pharmacology techniques and technologies into current workflows, working closely with both academic and industry partners to progress novel cancer targets. The role requires a BSc, MSc, or PhD in a biological science (or equivalent relevant experience), significant drug discovery experience, and strong expertise in quantitative cell biology, assay development, and pharmacology. Proficiency in techniques such as ELISA, HTRF, HiBiT, NanoBRET, high content imaging, flow cytometry, colony formation assays, and others is essential, and experience with liquid handling and automation is an advantage. This position offers a salary between £41,700 and £46,500 per annum, dependent on experience, with additional benefits including up to 12% pension contribution and income protection. Flexible working is considered, and visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates.
