As a Software Engineer (Motion Planning), you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining advanced tools that generate detailed performance metrics, which are essential for evaluating and enhancing the capabilities of autonomous driving systems. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving integration challenges within the autonomy software stack, particularly focusing on the Motion Planner module, which is a key component in the decision-making process of self-driving vehicles. This role involves designing and executing rigorous test plans that validate individual software components as well as the overall system performance, ensuring alignment with both functional and safety requirements. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of robotics engineers, software developers, and system validation experts to seamlessly integrate new features, troubleshoot issues, and improve software reliability. Your work will include both simulation-based evaluations and real-world testing scenarios to assess the behavior of the autonomous system in various dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will have strong programming experience in C++ and Python, a solid understanding of algorithms related to motion planning and path optimization, and prior exposure to robotics frameworks such as ROS. Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines is also important. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge autonomous technology with a company that offers visa sponsorship for highly qualified international candidates.
