This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Sussex Projects Team at the University of Sussex as a Senior Project Manager, where you will lead the HR System Implementation Project aimed at modernising and streamlining HR and payroll operations through the introduction of a new SaaS solution. The project’s core objectives include automating manual processes, improving reporting capabilities, and enabling data-driven decision-making to enhance efficiency across the HR Division. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering this transformational change and contributing to the University’s ambition to become an employer of choice. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience managing large-scale, complex system implementation projects involving sensitive data, and must hold a PRINCE2 qualification or equivalent. You will be part of the Sussex Projects Division, established in 2021, which manages strategic initiatives across ITS, Estates, Research and Enterprise, and Education and Students, supporting a 10-year capital transformation programme. Located in Brighton near the scenic South Downs, the University offers a beautiful 150-acre campus with excellent public transport links and a cycle-to-work scheme. The University of Sussex is a prestigious, research-led institution committed to diversity and inclusion, and this role may be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. The position is full-time, fixed-term for 24 months, and offers a competitive salary between £46,735 to £55,755 per annum.
