Join the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) as a Senior Project Engineer based at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Didcot, Oxfordshire, where you'll contribute to the development of innovative mechanical systems that support cutting-edge scientific research at the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source. This full-time, open-ended role offers a salary of £56,509 per annum and involves leading the design, analysis, and delivery of bespoke mechanical equipment used in accelerator, target, and instrument systems. You’ll manage complex engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, applying industrial standards, risk assessment protocols, and cross-functional collaboration with scientists, technologists, and fellow engineers. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications, experience with large-scale projects, and strong interpersonal skills.
