The Senior Product Assurance Specialist at UKRI’s UK Astronomy Technology Centre in Edinburgh is responsible for ensuring the quality and assurance of a major subsystem in a space-based gravitational wave observatory. This full-time, open-ended role requires a strong background in quality assurance and product assurance, especially within space or aerospace sectors. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of standards such as ECSS, ISO 9001, or NASA equivalents, ensuring compliance with best practices across the design and development phases. Responsibilities include leading quality audits, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, supporting system reliability and safety reviews, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the engineering process. Candidates must hold a STEM degree and demonstrate relevant experience in PA/QA for complex engineering systems, ideally in international collaborative projects. Professional registration or chartered status is desirable.
