Concrete4Change is a pioneering R&D company developing breakthrough technology to permanently mineralise CO₂ in concrete. The Senior Process Engineer will play a key role in leading the scale-up journey from lab pilot to commercial demonstration, working closely with the CTO to define, optimize, and execute scale-up plans, develop process models and design documents including heat and mass balances, equipment lists, utility and waste profiles, PFDs, process descriptions, and preliminary plot plans. The role involves supporting pilot and commercial plant operations, overseeing commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades, managing experimental runs to ensure high-quality data, and ensuring learnings feed into commercial plant design. The engineer will also forecast engineering workload, lead cross-functional teams including EPCs and subcontractors, manage project tasks, budgets, and timelines, and collaborate across disciplines including chemistry, mechanical, process control, and operations. Essential skills include 10+ years’ experience in process design, commissioning, and scale-up, strong grasp of unit operations and chemical/physical transformations, proven ability to manage EPCs and pilot plant construction, and experience delivering engineering packages from concept to deployment. Desirable skills include experience with Python, Excel, Aspen, Thermoflex, PLCs, SCADA, and knowledge of carbon capture and mineralisation processes.
