As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll be part of the Infrastructure Platform team within Monzo’s Platform Collective, responsible for building and managing cloud infrastructure that powers the bank, including Kubernetes clusters, service mesh using Envoy, and resources managed through Terraform across AWS and GCP. This role involves backend engineering, automation, and helping other teams efficiently use cloud tools. You’ll work with technologies like Go, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Terraform, and Envoy. Monzo is looking for engineers who are passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, problem-solving, and enabling teams through powerful platform services. You’ll be helping Monzo scale from 10 to 20 million customers and beyond, contributing to international expansion and broader product offerings. The company offers a salary between £95,000–£130,000, stock options, visa sponsorship, relocation assistance, a flexible remote/hybrid work model across the UK, and inclusive hiring practices.
