OLIX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Simulation Engineer to lead the design, simulation, and optimisation of precision opto-mechanical systems and advanced substrate structures critical to the performance of its Optical Tensor Processing Units (OTPUs). The role focuses on simulation-led development of mechanical assemblies and substrate stack-ups, balancing warpage control, thermal dissipation, mechanical stability, and manufacturability through extensive finite element and thermo-mechanical analysis. You will perform stress, strain, deformation, ageing, creep, fatigue, and life-cycle simulations, guide material selection across organic, ceramic, and advanced substrate materials, and correlate models with empirical reliability testing such as thermal cycling and vibration. Working closely with optical, electrical, materials, and manufacturing partners, you will define mechanical specifications, improve design accuracy, automate simulation workflows, and document methodologies to deliver highly reliable, thermally stable AI hardware in a fast-moving, cross-disciplinary environment.
