Nu Quantum is developing the Entanglement Fabric to scale out quantum computing. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support the design, manufacture, inspection, and testing of prototypes, integrate optical devices into opto-mechanical assemblies, lead technical workstreams, mentor team members, and design precision components suitable for ultra-high vacuum and cryogenic environments. The role requires proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, creating mechanical drawings and documentation for manufacture, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and experience with multiple rapid prototyping techniques and Design for Manufacture/Assembly. Desirable skills include SolidWorks, UHV and cryogenic systems, MEMS design, mechanical Finite Element Analysis, tolerance analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, thermal, vibration, user design, and metrology.
