The Francis Crick Institute is seeking a Senior Laboratory Research Scientist specializing in crystallography and drug discovery for a full-time, fixed-term (three-year) position based in London. The role involves working within the Structural Biology Science Technology Platform to support early-stage drug discovery targeting ALT positive cancers, including protein expression, purification, crystallization, data collection, structure determination, and refinement. The successful candidate will have a PhD in structural biology with postdoctoral experience, extensive expertise in molecular cloning, recombinant protein expression, automated purification, and protein X-ray crystallography techniques using tools like CCP4, Phenix, and Coot. Responsibilities include developing high-purity protein samples, determining crystal structures with fragments or compounds, training junior team members, and staying updated with the latest literature and techniques.
