About the job

Flux Computing designs and manufactures optical processors to train and run inference on large AI models. The Senior High Speed Electronics Engineer will lead the development of precision analog and mixed-signal circuitry critical to the performance of Flux’s Optical Tensor Processing Units (OTPUs), working closely with cross-functional teams including optical, digital, and FPGA engineers to ensure high-fidelity signal transmission and tight synchronization across cutting-edge AI accelerator hardware. Responsibilities include designing, simulating, and developing high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits such as transimpedance amplifiers, drivers, and clock/data recovery systems; evaluating PCB designs for signal integrity and parasitic modeling; selecting and specifying high-speed components like ADCs, DACs, PLLs, and precision reference sources; defining and implementing strategies for signal integrity, power integrity, and noise mitigation in densely packed, high-speed environments; conducting detailed testing and validation using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, and spectrum/network analyzers; developing test boards and bring-up procedures for prototypes and production hardware; driving root-cause analysis and debugging performance issues across system, board, and component levels; collaborating with FPGA, digital logic, and software teams to define analog/digital interfaces and operating parameters; and documenting designs, test procedures, and results comprehensively. Required skills include 7+ years of experience in high-speed analog and mixed-signal design, signal integrity, noise analysis, silicon validation, PCB design, automated test frameworks using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to debug at both component and system levels. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required, with a Master’s or PhD preferred. The compensation package includes a competitive salary, stock options, visa sponsorship, relocation support, healthcare, high-spec tech, 25 days of paid holiday, a pension plan, and other benefits.
