The role involves leading ground segment development, interfacing between Mission & Systems and Operations teams, developing and maintaining ground systems, supporting satellite operations, performing verification & validation, producing project documentation, and mentoring team members. Essential skills include a degree in a relevant engineering discipline, 5+ years in satellite ground systems engineering and space sector experience, knowledge of ground segment components, and strong communication and documentation skills. Desirable skills include experience with mission control systems (SCOS-2000), automation systems, ground stations, C++/Java, Linux systems, ECSS and CCSDS standards, and Agile/Scrum methodology.
