Holt Executive Ltd is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a high-performing Ground Segment Software team in Oxfordshire, developing advanced mission-control solutions for cutting-edge space missions. This hands-on role involves designing, building, and maintaining mission-critical software systems that enable satellite operations and support space sustainability projects, making it ideal for candidates with experience in space, defence, aviation, telecoms, or automotive sectors. Responsibilities include developing scalable back-end services with modern programming languages, building responsive front-end applications with frameworks like React, designing and optimizing databases, managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams on feature implementation, troubleshooting complex full-stack issues, and participating in Agile/SCRUM processes. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), with 5+ years in mission-critical software development and proven full-stack experience, along with strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (Java, Python, or C++). Desirable skills include experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), SQL databases, Agile/SCRUM workflows, CCSDS or ECSS standards, Ground Segment systems, AWS or Azure, and software security best practices.
