The Senior Analytics Engineer role, based in London (Waterloo) with a hybrid model (4 days in-office), involves working in cross-functional product teams to take data initiatives from concept to deployment, building data products and analytics infrastructure across the full stack, and using AI tools throughout development. The engineer will collaborate closely with product and design teams to ship high-quality analytics, write clear and maintainable SQL and dbt models, define analytics practices for an AI-first development culture, mentor other engineers, and help build a data platform that powers decision-making across the company. Responsibilities include developing a deep understanding of the business to proactively uncover insights, co-governing the Count Metrics Catalog (semantic layer), owning and evolving the dbt Warehouse layer, using modeling to generate cross-business insights, supporting Mixpanel event instrumentation via Avo, working with a modern stack (BigQuery, dbt-core/fusion, Dagster, Count, Mixpanel), and enabling self-serve analytics across the business. Required qualifications include 3-5+ years in analytics engineering, fluency in SQL, experience with git, dbt, cloud-based warehouses (BigQuery), implementing CI pipelines, modular dbt practices, and working with event-level product analytics data, along with a collaborative mindset and commitment to code quality and stakeholder trust.
