The Senior Process Engineer at Concrete4Change will lead the scale-up of breakthrough CO₂ mineralisation technology in concrete, transitioning from lab pilot to commercial demonstration. Reporting to the CTO, the role involves process design, modelling, and development of process documentation including heat and mass balances, equipment sizing, utility profiles, PFDs, and techno-economic evaluations. The engineer will support pilot and commercial plant operations, overseeing commissioning, troubleshooting, experimental runs, and ensuring high-quality data generation. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing EPCs and subcontractors, coordinating plant operations, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and integration. Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in process design, commissioning, and scale-up, ideally with solids handling or mineral processing, strong grasp of unit operations, chemical and physical transformations, and proven ability to manage engineering projects from concept to deployment. Desirable skills include Python, Aspen, Thermoflex, SCADA/PLC knowledge, and familiarity with carbon capture or concrete chemistry. The role requires strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, willingness to travel or relocate, and hands-on involvement in pilot plant operations.
