This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dundee with Automation Experts Ltd, where you’ll step into a world of advanced automation delivering impactful, high-performance solutions across multiple industries. As a Senior or Lead Controls Engineer, you will design and develop PLC control systems tailored to special-purpose automated machinery, ensuring compliance with international standards like ISO, IEC, and CE. The role includes programming and commissioning industrial robots such as KUKA, Fanuc, and ABB, along with conducting comprehensive testing both in-house and at customer sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in industrial automation, solid hands-on knowledge of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs (training for other platforms available), and familiarity with vision systems, HMIs, motion control, and robotics. A proactive, practical engineering mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to interpret and deliver on client requirements are essential.
