University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Senior Computer Scientist to join their Clinical Scientific Computing Team in leading the Systems and Infrastructure Programme. This role is responsible for managing and delivering secure, high-quality IT infrastructure and system projects that support critical clinical services including Radiotherapy, Proton Beam Therapy, and Nuclear Medicine. The successful candidate will liaise closely with clinical and scientific stakeholders, ensure compliance with information governance and security standards, and provide day-to-day technical oversight of Linux and Windows systems, databases, networks, and virtualisation technologies. You will also contribute to the support and maintenance of clinical software applications, take part in an out-of-hours on-call rota, and mentor junior staff. The ideal applicant should have a degree in computer science, physics, or engineering (preferably with a postgraduate qualification), significant experience in clinical or healthcare IT, and expertise in systems administration, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and network and database management. This is a full-time permanent role based at UCLH, 235 Euston Road, London, with a salary range of £61,927 to £68,676 per annum inclusive of HCAS, and Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available.
