The Senior Campus IT & AV Technician at Edinburgh Napier University is responsible for the provision, installation, maintenance, and support of IT and audio-visual technologies across the university estate, managing assigned technicians by allocating workloads and supporting their training and development, as well as deputising for the Campus IT & AV Manager when required and leading specific technology areas or services. The role involves supporting IT & AV technology within key university spaces such as teaching, learning, meeting, and workspaces, ensuring these systems are proactively monitored, updated, and continuously improved. The technician liaises closely with colleagues in Information Services to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for service provision, participates in projects and change initiatives, ensures accurate asset management through the university’s designated system, and handles customer incidents and service requests within agreed service level agreements. The position offers a competitive salary of £30,805 to £37,174 per annum, excellent benefits including a minimum of 41 days’ annual leave, generous pension contributions, learning and development opportunities, and may offer visa sponsorship subject to eligibility and salary criteria.
