The Francis Crick Institute is seeking a highly capable and strategic Senior Business Manager to join its Business Development team in London, in a full-time permanent role. As Europe’s largest biomedical research institute, the Crick fosters an innovative and collaborative environment focused on advancing human health through science. The Senior Business Manager will report to the Head of Business Development and play a pivotal role in negotiating and securing deals, managing strategic partnerships, and helping to commercialize scientific discoveries made at the Crick. The ideal candidate will have a background in bioscience or a related field, combined with deep experience in technology commercialization, IP management, deal-making, and stakeholder engagement within academic or industry settings. The role involves conducting market and financial analysis, developing pitch decks and investment cases, securing funding for translational projects and spin-outs, and managing legal and licensing agreements. This is a key leadership position requiring strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal scientific teams and external biotech and pharmaceutical partners.
