OLIX is seeking a Senior AI Performance Modeller to create and own functional and cycle-accurate simulation models that guide the evolution of its Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU) architecture and software stack. The role focuses on building high-fidelity simulators, analysing AI workloads such as large language models and diffusion models, and running large-scale design-space exploration to identify throughput, latency, and utilisation bottlenecks. You will work closely with hardware, compiler, and machine-learning framework teams to ensure models reflect real system behaviour and directly influence architectural, scheduling, and software decisions, while developing Python and C++ tooling for trace analysis, visualisation, and CI-integrated performance testing in a fast-paced, data-driven AI hardware environment.
