The Security Engineer at Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP) will play a crucial role in securing the company's infrastructure, which includes multiple physical offices and cloud environments. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security controls, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001. The role involves threat detection, incident response, and proactive security measures, working closely with an outsourced Security Operations Centre (SOC) to enhance Sentinel SIEM, conduct threat hunting, and respond to emerging security threats. Additionally, the Security Engineer will oversee vulnerability scanning, endpoint security management, and system hardening, ensuring that security policies and procedures are effectively implemented. The role also involves collaborating with InfoSec, product, and platform teams to integrate security best practices into development processes. The engineer will be required to manage SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools, conduct penetration testing, and participate in an on-call rotation (one week in six after the probation period) to support critical incidents.
