The Security Assurance Lead role at Cambridge University Press & Assessment is a critical position designed to safeguard the organization’s information assets and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. This role involves leading security assurance initiatives, conducting risk assessments, and driving security compliance activities across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and ensuring the implementation of robust security controls. They will also conduct third-party vendor risk assessments, provide guidance on remediation actions, and develop security policies and procedures. Furthermore, the role involves collaborating with various technology teams to reduce exposure to emerging threats and enhance security measures. The Security Assurance Lead will also be responsible for managing the risk register, reporting key risk metrics, and supporting incident response activities to ensure the organization’s resilience against security incidents. This hybrid role is based in Cambridge, with the expectation of spending a minimum of two days per week in the office. The position offers a salary ranging from £43,800 to £58,500, with potential to rise up to £71,300, depending on experience.
