The Bank of England is hiring an RTGS Core Senior Developer & Support Engineer to lead the development and support of its Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) application, which handles £800 billion in daily settlements and is classified as critical national infrastructure. Based in either Leeds or London, this full-time role offers flexible working arrangements and includes responsibilities such as coding in technologies like React, ES6 JavaScript, TypeScript, Kafka, HTML5, and OpenShift within an Agile (SAFe) environment, mentoring junior team members, leading Epics/Sprints, problem resolution, and contributing to audits. The position requires attention to detail, strong collaborative skills, a proven track record in support and delivery, and participation in a 24x7 support rota. Desirable skills include Redux, Jest, MUI, Jenkins, and Git/Github. Visa sponsorship is considered on a case-by-case basis under UKVI guidelines.
