This is a high-impact senior technical opportunity for an experienced RF Systems Lead to join a top-tier technology consultancy in Cambridgeshire, England. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority on RF systems, leading the design, architecture, and integration of advanced RF solutions across multiple client projects. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment alongside teams specializing in DSP, wireless technologies, and communication systems, with a strong emphasis on innovation and performance. The position does not involve line management but is focused entirely on solving complex technical challenges and engaging with senior-level stakeholders. Your responsibilities include guiding system-level RF architecture, contributing to 3GPP-compliant design, influencing internal technical strategies, and delivering high-value technical input to support business development efforts. Candidates are expected to have deep expertise in RF systems, ideally with 15–20 years of experience and possess a strong understanding of related domains such as DSP, communications, and wireless interface technologies. A hands-on, problem-solving mindset, a passion for cutting-edge engineering, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines are essential. The role offers a highly competitive salary — up to £140k for Director level or £110k for Associate Director — plus a bonus scheme (up to 33%) and includes a generous relocation package covering 25% of first-year earnings for those moving from outside the area.
