About the job

An outstanding opportunity is available for a highly skilled and motivated RF/mmWave IC Design Engineer to join one of the world’s most prestigious and successful semiconductor companies, located in Cambridgeshire, England. This position is part of a world-class mmWave IC design team that is at the forefront of innovation, working on the development of state-of-the-art 6G RF products that will define the future of wireless communication. The role offers a chance to be directly involved in the full lifecycle of RF integrated circuit development, including specification, architecture, circuit design, implementation, and verification of complex analog and RF blocks or subsystems. These may include components such as filters, low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), power amplifiers (PAs), mixers, and other essential circuits required for high-frequency mmWave communication. The main goal is to deliver exceptional performance and reliability in first silicon tape-outs, contributing to the success of globally deployed, next-generation wireless systems. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field, and possess a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience focused on the design of high-frequency RF integrated circuits. A deep and practical understanding of mmWave circuit design and RF systems is crucial, along with a strong analytical mindset and in-depth knowledge of modern transceiver architectures. Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as the Cadence Analog Design Environment is essential, and hands-on experience with RF simulation, layout, and verification flows is highly desirable. The role also requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting. In return, the company offers a highly competitive basic salary, a generous bonus scheme, and excellent employee benefits. Additionally, for candidates applying from outside the UK, full visa sponsorship and relocation support will be provided, making this a globally accessible opportunity for the right talent. This position is ideal for an experienced RF/mmWave engineer looking to take their career to the next level by contributing to cutting-edge innovations in a supportive, high-performance environment at one of the semiconductor industry’s leading organizations.
