The University of Leeds is recruiting a Research Software Engineer to support the MyPhone/MyBrain research programme funded by the Huo Family Foundation. This role involves leading the design, development, and maintenance of software systems and secure data pipelines used to collect and process neuroscience and digital engagement data from young people. The project combines classroom-based EEG data collection, smartphone-derived datasets, and secure linkage to health and education records through the Connected Bradford infrastructure. The successful candidate will work across the full research software lifecycle including advising on data collection in school environments, ensuring data quality assurance, building scalable processing systems, maintaining documentation, supporting long-term sustainability of software outputs, and collaborating with academic and international partners. The role requires strong technical skills, independent decision-making ability, and experience in managing research data systems. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship may be available subject to UK eligibility requirements.
