The Research & Innovation Fellow will contribute to the FLIM-Optiq project, an advanced fluorescence lifetime imaging system designed to transform cardiotoxicity screening in drug development, in collaboration with academic and industry partners. The role involves leading technical development and prototype validation, managing innovation and commercialization activities, and establishing national and international collaborations. Responsibilities include supporting intellectual property strategies, funding proposal development, and coordinating research efforts aligned with the University of Glasgow’s strategic goals. The fellow will also supervise junior team members, manage administrative tasks, and engage in professional development. Candidates should possess a PhD in a relevant discipline and have a strong background in photonics, multiphoton microscopy, and commercialization of imaging technologies. Essential experience includes delivering innovative photonics systems, securing research funding, managing complex research and development projects, and translating technical innovations into commercial outcomes.
