The University of Leeds is seeking a talented Research Fellow in Software Engineering and Machine Learning to join the School of Computing within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 30 September 2027, offering a salary between £39,355 and £46,735 per annum. The successful candidate will contribute to research on the design and implementation of modern software architectures, tools, and compilers that utilise artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to improve performance in high-performance computing environments. Applicants should have a PhD (or be close to completion) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related area, and demonstrate expertise in software development using languages like C, C++, or Python, as well as familiarity with ML frameworks. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong publication record, and experience in interdisciplinary research projects.
