The University of Leeds is seeking a Research Fellow in Robot Recycling to join the Real Robotics Lab and contribute to the development of robotic platforms, systems, and software that promote sustainable and circular manufacturing. This role is part of the EPSRC Manufacturing Research Hub in Robotics, Automation & Smart Machine Enabled Sustainable Circular Manufacturing & Materials (RESCu-M2), led by the University of Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing robots for advanced disassembly of robotic systems to enable component and material recovery and reuse. The position involves hardware and software design, systems integration, and autonomous control strategy development in collaboration with project partners.
