Are you a researcher interested in developing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence systems for healthcare? This role focuses on integrating multimodal data to enhance patient risk stratification and early cancer detection, particularly in inflammatory bowel disease. The selected candidate will work with endoscopic and whole-slide imaging (WSI) data, developing novel computer vision methods to improve clinical decision-making. The project involves collaboration with computational scientists, pathologists, and clinical experts to transform research and practice in early cancer detection. Initially, the project aims to develop state-of-the-art methods separately on WSI and endoscopy, then combine them to improve outcomes. These algorithms will contribute to a prognosis platform. The role is based in Dr. Sharib Ali’s group, focusing on computer vision methods for medicine and surgery, with opportunities to collaborate with academics and clinical teams from Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust.
