The University of Leeds is seeking a Research Fellow in Agent-Based Modelling to contribute to the INFUZE (Inspiring Futures for Zero Carbon Mobility) programme funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. The role focuses on developing advanced computational and agent-based simulation models to examine behavioural transitions from private car ownership to sustainable mobility systems. The successful candidate will design and implement large-scale simulation frameworks integrating behavioural science, social influence, transport systems, and environmental impact modelling to evaluate pathways toward low-carbon futures. Responsibilities include building and validating computational models, analysing large datasets, collaborating with interdisciplinary research teams across partner institutions, contributing to lifecycle carbon assessment studies, and supporting policy-relevant outputs. The role requires strong programming skills, modelling expertise, and the ability to translate research findings into impactful academic and applied outcomes.
