The Research Associate position at the University of Glasgow is a full-time, fixed-term research and teaching role focused on contributing to the Tayhealthtech Silverguardian project under the leadership of Dr. Julien Le Kernec. This technology-driven position involves advanced radar signal processing, including techniques like tracking, constant false alarm rate (CFAR), super-resolution, and data representation domains, with specific emphasis on vital sign extraction from moving human targets and signal reliability in dynamic environments. The successful candidate will play a leading role in designing, conducting, and documenting research, managing data and reports, developing publications in high-quality journals, presenting at international conferences, identifying funding opportunities, and building collaborations across academic and industrial sectors. Applicants are expected to have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline, strong expertise in radar signal processing, a proven track record in publishing research, and excellent analytical, communication, and teamworking skills. The role also includes mentoring students, contributing to teaching, and supporting open research practices. The position is eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship if applicable, offers a salary of £40,497 - £45,413 (Grade 7), and comes with excellent employee benefits including 41 days of annual leave, pension, and wellbeing support.
