About the job

The KTP Research Associate at the University of Glasgow, based in Warwick with Quanta Dialysis Technologies, leads an innovative Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) focused on developing and optimising mathematical models for novel dialysis flow modalities. The associate will reduce complex fluid-mechanical solute transport problems into tractable models, perform numerical simulations to optimise treatment, and facilitate effective knowledge transfer between academia and industry. Responsibilities include collaborating with Quanta’s experimental and software teams, integrating modelling practices into standard procedures, conducting experiments to validate numerical simulations, and disseminating research through publications and conferences. Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent experience) with expertise in fluid mechanics, mathematical modelling, and numerical simulation techniques. Essential skills include strong cross-disciplinary collaboration, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities. Desirable skills include project leadership, team management, analytical techniques for deriving reduced models, and prior publication record. The post is full-time, funded for up to 24 months, with a salary up to £45,000, and may be eligible for UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
