About the job

This role involves contributing to the digital automation of organic and inorganic self-assembling systems within Professor Lee Cronin’s Complex Chemical Systems Group. The successful candidate will plan and conduct research individually or collaboratively, document outputs including data analysis and interpretation, contribute to publications and funding proposals, present findings at national and international conferences, and participate in mentoring and training undergraduate or postgraduate students. The position requires developing and maintaining collaborations with colleagues and industrial partners, staying up-to-date with advances in the field, and engaging in professional development. Applicants should have expertise in inorganic or materials chemistry, programming skills in languages such as C, C++, C#, or Python, and experience with single crystal X-ray analysis, robotics, crystallography, mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, and other relevant analytical techniques.
