The ECHO (Epidemiology of Cancer Healthcare and Outcomes) Research Group at UCL is seeking a statistician for a Research Assistant/Research Fellow role focused on observational epidemiological research. The position involves working on both large-scale descriptive studies and causal inference projects, with an emphasis on applied quantitative research using large healthcare datasets. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of epidemiologists, statisticians, clinicians, and public health professionals. The role requires a strong foundation in statistical methods, experience with command-line statistical software, and familiarity with health-related data such as electronic health records or administrative datasets. The post is based in the Research Department of Behavioural Science and Health, a leading center within the UCL Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care. The role is full-time, fixed-term until December 2026, with a starting salary of £41,255 per annum and potential for promotion to Grade 7 upon PhD completion.
