As a Quality Engineer Regulatory Compliance at GE Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that products and processes meet all relevant regulatory standards and requirements. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with aviation regulations such as AS9100, ISO9001, and CAA Part21 and Part145, as well as supporting Dowty's internal audit program across all approvals from design, production, and maintenance. You will conduct internal audits to monitor compliance with both safety and quality management systems, develop and maintain regulatory training materials, and empower staff with knowledge on regulatory requirements through impactful training sessions. Additionally, you will ensure the effectiveness of the business's Safety Management System (SMS) by following up on safety and quality actions and performing root cause analysis, planning, and executing corrective actions. As part of the role, you will lead transformative continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies, update quality procedures to meet aviation regulations, and maintain regulatory compliance throughout. Your contributions will be essential in driving process improvements, enhancing product safety, and maintaining high-quality standards within the aviation industry.
